Sublime is the first word that comes to mind when we think of the creations of executive chef Marc-André Jetté. This wine bar, nestled in the Angus Shops district and a stone's throw from the renowned Hoogan and Beaufort (from the same family), is a real gem for lovers of refined gastronomy.

The restaurant offers two distinct atmospheres: a terrace, a true urban refuge, and a modern and sophisticated interior, conducive to a pleasant evening culinary experience. Open daily until late, it also offers a variety of weekly events which you can find out about on their website.

The wine list, impressive with more than 20 pages, demonstrates a meticulous and varied selection. This passion for oenology was crowned by the prestigious 2024 Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Congratulations to Hugo Duchesne, sommelier director, for this well-deserved success.

We had the pleasure of discovering this place as a group of four friends, and it proved ideal for this type of friendly gathering. We started our meal with the dill brioche bread, a delight so tasty that we had to order a second plate! The menu, designed for sharing, allowed us to taste a variety of exquisite dishes. The tempura zucchini flowers were a real favorite, ranking among the best things we tasted this year. The beef tartare also met all our expectations, as did the squid accompanied by tomatoes and X.O. sauce, as beautiful as it was delicious.

For dessert, the Paris-Brest with pistachio and haskap was the icing on the cake of our meal. It was simply exceptional.

Montreal continues to shine as one of the most foodie cities, and Annette is undoubtedly an address not to be missed. We highly recommend this establishment for its refined cuisine, its remarkable choice of wines, its warm atmosphere and its attentive service.
