Martinique - Club Med Les Boucaniers
I was initially skeptical about going to a Club Med, as it always had a negative connotation for me. I thought it was only for the idle rich looking for peace and quiet. However, I was completely wrong. Prejudices have been shattered.
The Boucaniers site is simply charming, with its incredibly long quay. The scenery is magnificent, and the structure of the place further adds to its appeal. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and the staff is exceptionally hospitable. But what really got my heart racing and what would make me spend again on a vacation here was the food at the buffet. The variety offered is simply amazing, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The choices are worthy of refined cuisine, and the culinary discoveries are always surprising and delicious.
During our stay in Martinique , we decided to participate in two excursions in order to better know the island and its inhabitants. Here are the most notable moments of our first excursion:
The visit to St. Pierre proved fascinating, as we found ourselves immersed in a village that experienced a major volcanic eruption in 1902. The remains of this tragic event shaped the town as it is today.
The Balata garden is truly exceptional. As plant lovers, we had the chance to discover this enchanting place. Taking the time to contemplate all these plants and flowers so different from those we have at home was a soothing and intoxicating experience at the same time.
For our second excursion, we opted for a catamaran trip. Our destination was Diamond Rock, followed by two dive sites. We had the incredible chance to swim alongside serene turtles and admire fish of multiple shapes and colors. It was a wonderful experience that filled us with happiness.
