PARAPLUIE RESTAURANT - Montreal

Enchanted by the Parapluie : A Culinary Experience to Remember

Forget the gray of Beaubien Ouest, because two gourmet addresses have just planted their flag there, including the Parapluie restaurant. Located on the corner of St-Urbain, Parapluie stands out for its inventive cuisine and friendly atmosphere.

Simple decor and a terrace

The restaurant offers a minimalist but elegant setting, complete with a small terrace for observing street life. While the location may be noisy for some, the dining experience that awaits you is well worth the slight inconvenience.

A mouth-watering seasonal menu

The menu, concise and changing with the seasons, offers around ten dishes to share, as well as tempting side dishes and desserts. We started our feast with a scallop crudo with lightly spiced rhubarb jus, an absolute delight. Followed by the beef tartare with artichokes, Louis d'Or and Jerusalem artichoke chips, which turned out to be one of the best summer tartares we've tasted in a long time. But the highlight of the show was undoubtedly the lobster with tarragon mayo eggs, an ode to freshness and deliciousness.

An explosion of flavors in each dish

The rest of the menu did not disappoint: gnocchi with western Canadian morels, asparagus, sorrel and salmon roe, lamb with strong jus... each dish was an explosion of flavors and textures. Although five courses would have been more than enough for two, we succumbed to the temptation of the panna cotta, a cloud of happiness and one of the best we have ever tasted.

Attentive service and a warm atmosphere

The service was impeccable, with smiling and attentive staff. The chef, Robin Filteau-Boucher, formerly of Théophile in St-Bruno and participant in the show Les Chefs, does not hesitate to come out of his open kitchen to present his dishes and share his passion with the guests. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, helping to make the experience even more memorable.

A new jewel of Montreal gastronomy

Parapluie is a real find in Beaubien Ouest. Its inventive cuisine, impeccable service and warm atmosphere make it a must for food lovers. A new jewel added to Montreal's culinary crown.
