ALMA RESTAURANT - MONTREAL
As soon as we enter this small neighborhood restaurant, we are immediately enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that puts us at ease. The dried hydrangea flowers, candles and old-fashioned pottery that adorn the entrance create an elegant ambiance conducive to relaxation and relaxation.
The attentive waitresses quickly come to greet us and take care of us, offering us a very pleasant start to our experience. The evening unfolds like a perfectly orchestrated colorful symphony: each table receives one by one the astonishing dishes from the nine-course tasting menu in a culinary ballet worthy of a harmonious performance.
Flowers color the homemade butter, fresh sea bream crudo and duck breast. This embellishes the dishes which are served at a perfect pace. In addition to a magnificent presentation, the dishes surprise us above all with their exquisite tastes. Apart from one or two slightly salty dishes, the balance of tastes and textures is perfect. We fell in love with the dashi with wild mushrooms, anchovies, smoked house butter and marrow which wowed us from the first service. An experience to absolutely live! Perfect place for a romantic couple's evening.
Bravo to chef Juan Lopez Luna and sommelier and importer Lindsay Brennan for this menu with coastal Mediterranean flavors. We came away from this experience with smiles from ear to ear!
